Training at The Pool

We train every Friday at Stokewood Leisure Centre. We train in our 3 different groups Rookies, Cadets and Adults catering to the knowledge and skills of all different ages and abilities.

Within these sessions we aim to teach and develop water safety and rescue skills using a variety of specialist equipment. When able we also run dry side training focusing on first aid, resuscitation and communication skills. We also follow various RLSS award programmes using it to guide Rookies through a Bronze, Silver, Gold awards and using Survive & Save Awards to develop the Cadets knowledge hopefully ready for when they are 16 years or older leading to a Pool Lifeguard Qualification and therefore later into employment.
